Precious for athletes, essential for intestinal health!
What is L-Glutamine?
Glutamine is an amino acid produced naturally by the body, very present in the muscles and blood, but whose reserves can be quickly depleted during severe stress or overtraining. The consequences of a glutamine deficiency are: a weakening of the intestinal barrier, a drop in the immune system (increased risk of infections) and muscle exhaustion in athletes.
Glutamine is well known and valued by athletes. By contributing to the manufacture of proteins by the body, it maintains the muscular reconstruction and supports a good recovery after the effort.
And, at a time when research on the microbiome is revealing that intestinal health is an essential key to well-being and a good quality of life, this precious glutamine shows an even more interesting quality!
It serves as a source of energy for the intestinal tissues, which strengthen them and thus preserve their function as an intestinal barrier (70% of the immune system), preventing intruders such as certain nutrients, bacteria, toxins and other harmful substances from entering and circulating in the body and which are believed to be the cause of many inflammatory, autoimmune and metabolic diseases of our time.
On the recommendation of a specialist, L-Gutamine can be used for the management of nutrition in Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
Intestinal comfort: Take in the morning on an empty stomach, 5 to 10 g in a glass of water or fruit juice, for 1 to 3 months.
Sport: Take before or just after training, 5 to 10 g in a glass of water or fruit juice.
WARNINGS: Dietary supplements should be used as part of a healthy lifestyle and should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily doses. Keep the product out of reach of young children and away from heat. Because glutamine can serve as a substrate for certain tumor cells, people with cancer or at high risk of cancer should consult their specialist before using glutamine.
